It is
almost the end of the current calendar year and we have a very eventful week
ahead of us.
Today is devoid of major economic events, but on Tuesday we can expect the announcement
of the British CPI y/y, the US PPI m/m, a speech by the ECB president Mario
Draghi and another by the Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Philip Lowe.
On
Wednesday will be announced the British Average Earnings Index 3m/y, the US CPI
m/m, Core CPI m/m, Crude Oil Inventories, FOMC Economic Projections, the FOMC
Statement, the Federal Funds Rate and there will be a FOMC Press Conference.
Apart from that the Australian Employment Change and Unemployment Rate will
also be announced.
On Thursday
we expect the British Retail Sales m/m, the Monetary Policy Committee Official
Bank Rate Votes, the Monetary Policy Summary and the Official Bank Rate. The
ECB will announce the Minimum Bid Rate and there will be a press conference. In
addition, the US Core Retail Sales m/m, the Retail Sales m/m, and the
Unemployment Claims will be announced. And finally, the Bank of Canda Governor
Stephen Poloz will deliver a speech.
On Friday
there will not be any major events.
